Would just LOVE a similar skirt roundup cause I find those more wearable sometimes?! Like instead of my usual jeans and a t shirt I just swap the jeans for a skirt.
Jen I love how you've presented dresses in a way that feels true to you. Ie: not fussy or precious, but cool and a little devil-may-care. I struggle so much with dresses because I loathe feeling "dressy" but I can get down with many of these. Xx
How could you do this to me? Make me fall in love with the simple perfection that is a Tibi dress?! Haha no seriously this is such a good round-up as someone who typically does not do dresses.
Love this edit! I wish/need to be a dress person because I moved to humid NC a couple of years ago from Denver, CO! It's been a tough shift. Why does that denim Rachel Comey dress have to be sooooo good, I wish I never saw it!
Unfortunately I had to try on a few pairs - I think I ended up with a 32 waist - and I ended up unbuttoning and rolling them down as I grew. They sat pretty low on the bump, but I usually paired them with a big button down to cover up.
Yesssss to shirt dresses! Something about the collar and buttons just adds a bit of masculine energy that makes me feel… powerful? Polished? Chic? It’s hard to describe.
My top priorities for true summer dresses are breathable natural fabrics and can be worn without a bra. That Cos striped number is ticking a lot of boxes! I have an Everlane smocked top dress that I bought back in 2021 that I would purchase again via second hand market if something happened to it. It got me through pregnancy last summer as well.
Also in the same camp with dresses. I just bought the Kerry shirt dress in seersucker from Alex Mill and it’s amazing! At first I felt like I was wearing pajamas and it’s a bit see through but I do not care I will wear this dress everyday in the city this summer!
the way that you're validating the dresses on my wishlist rn... I've even tried on a couple of these!! bridal shower (guest) upcoming...might need one!

Love this idea!
LOL- I’m also working on a dress post! Great minds!! You had so many good finds here!
Haha tis the season! Can't wait for yours!!

Thank you!! I, too, loathe feeling dressy as well, but also dresses serve a purpose!
It's like you created this post in a lab specifically for me and for that I love you 🫶
You are so welcome.

I KNOW I'm sorry but I did it to myself too? Tibi has SO MANY great dresses at the moment it's killing me.
I think what draws me to them is the simple lines and (obvious) impeccable construction.
Same! And somehow they manage to perfectly balance femininity and masculinity, which is always my vibe.
This is such a great list, thank you. I have been having fever dreams about that Frank & Eileen shirt dress for weeks now, it's so perfect!
It's so good!!
Have you tried it on? It looks so good but it’s absolutely top of my budget so I don’t want to be tricked.
I haven't!! It looks like they have some at the Nordstrom here so maybe I'll pop over and give it a go one of these days 👀
I haven’t tried it as it’s beyond top of my budget… am holding out for a sale or secondhand!
I love a Poshmark alert for this!
If only there were a UK Poshmark app…!
Vinted!!
Oh yes, am all over that!
so good! buying you a cup:)
p
Oof, that black Tibi slip dress. So simple, so delicious.
Great dresses! Love that Tibi one and how you styled it!
saving this!!! thank you
I just felt inspired to buy a secondhand Buck Mason shirt dress much like the Frank & Eileen Rory featured with ways to style at the end!

I know I can't stop thinking about that dress...I feel you!
LOVE this! I am a big dress fan honestly, but am I always looking for ways to style them as a little less feminine - this is perfection.
Side note - can you tell me how you sized the men's jeans in your shopmy? And how they sat on the bump?
Yay so glad!!

I totally get that!! I love a shirt dress.
And yes that Cos dress keeps haunting me. I need to get over there and try it on!!
