Thank you for this visual - I keep going back and forth on the Agolde low curve jean since a low rise frightens me as a long waisted person but I loveee the slouchy look.
Low rise frightens me too…I have the Madewell low slung baggy and hardly reach for them even though I so want to love them. The Agolde didn’t feel as low, and still had structure which helped. I think they’ll be a nice summer jean when I want a little bit more movement, but I hear you. That said, I would only buy them secondhand as the resale market for baggy seems to be on fire??
I’ve always been madly in love with those Proenza boys after learning about their beginning so I’m thrilled to see what they do at Loewe.
Sogole’s piece was SO, SO good!! I’ve been reading more about circularity with clothing and the broken bits of the system but Sogole’s felt the most actionable!!
Finally, I have to say, I now have an alert set for those Apiece Apart jeans, whewie they are beautiful.
Omg one of my son’s most memorable tantrums was over a muffin! We only had a blueberry one left and he wanted chocolate chip, and I sat on the floor next to him (was part of the Greenpoint Mom Gentle Parenting cult) and calmly said “I know you are so upset, you really want chocolate chip and we only have blueberry, you must be feeling so frustrated” and his little freshly turned 2 body shoved the muffin into my mouth quite forcefully and he screamed “YOU EAT IT!” It still makes me laugh all these years later. Oof. I gave up on GP by the way and just started going off my own intuition. GP wasn’t for him!
Love the Lunas on you! Am very excited about the Proenza boys - I think their emphasis on craft will be a perfect fit and love that they’ll bring some New York edge! Also with you on the word “no.” We’re not just raising our kids, we’re raising members of society and we need to teach them how to be a positive part of the community…which means knowing boundaries!! My soap box ;)
Jen! Chock full of goodies as usual. First off thanks for the shout out and I’m so happy to hear my post resonated!! I’ve been thinking so much about the fact that we’ve all generally become so comfortable in the idea that we can resell things that it prompts us to sometimes buy things we may not actually fully love. And I totally agree with you that the resale bubble is going to shift, burst or maybe move into a different direction- will be curious to see how it all shakes down!
LOVE the Agolde Lunas on you. And we need pics of you in the Apiece Aparts!!!
501 levi’s … just bought pair with slight low stretch and love . You can pick length which helps ❤️
I love 501’s!! They really are a great jean.
