Hi again from NOT SUNNY California!! Technically I’ll be back in Brooklyn by the time this goes out, if the flight Gods work in my favor and we survive our trip into Newark (wtf?!). But I’m writing this from gloomy SoCal where the May grey is really in full effect and I still wake up hours earlier than everyone else. Regardless, it’s been lovely to spend this time with family and just relax. This will be a quick one today, as I am trying my very best to not spend a bunch of time on social and Substack - so if you’ve posted something or left a comment or a share lately and I haven’t gotten back to you, know that it’s not you, it’s me, attempting to be a more present mother, family member, and vacationer. I’ll get you when I get back to the beautiful chaos of daily life next week.
Anyways, packing for a trip with a toddler is a feat, and that includes navigating the carry on situation. I prefer to be over prepared - with extra snacks, books and activities - just in case. It’s a long trip…
